Fredric Velez
Program Director/Campus
Pastor
Fredric Velez has recently been added to
our staff as our program director and
campus pastor. Fredric is a graduate
of Florida Christian University in Orlando
with a Master's Degree in Pastoral
Counseling and has served the Central
Florida area for over ten years. Mr.
Velez has previously worked with youth as
a program manager responsible for a 52-bed
facility, house parent, child care worker
supervisor, and associate pastor.

Nathan
Showalter
Life Coach/Client Care
Nathan Showalter has been
added to our staff to work in developing
Independent Living skills among our residents
and coordinate the care aspect to them. Nathan
hails from Pennsylvania and came to Lakeland in
2002. A graduate of Southeastern University, in
2005 Nathan started a small business here in the
city of Lakeland. Mr. Showalter has also worked
with youth in a variety of settings as a Camp
counselor, a former direct care staff at Anchor
House, a public school teacher and in youth
ministry in the local church. Nathan is
presently working on a Master's Degree in
Guidance Counseling at the University of South
Florida Polytechnic. About working at Anchor
House, Nate says, " I have numerous and varied
rewarding experiences that I'm glad to be
bringing to Anchor House and look forward to
making a difference in the life of these young
men. I'm happy to be aboard!"
